Obituary

Christina M. Tarantelli, most recently of Montverde, FL., passed from this life on June 24, 2015. Chris was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt and life-long friend – generous in so many ways.

Chris was born May 16, 1954 in Schenectady, NY to (Mary) Lois and (Orlando) Peter Tarantelli. She received her B.A. in Business Management from the State University at Albany and embarked on a career in Retail Management with Thom McAn Shoes that lasted 15 years. Seeking a change, Chris turned to the law profession and began work as a paralegal. She furthered her education and received her Juris Doctorate at Widener University. Chris last worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a judge in the Workers' Compensation Division. Affectionately known as "the hammer" to her family, she ran a fair and balanced courtroom.

Chris resided in Harrisburg, PA for many years. She traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States. Chris was very spiritual and participated on mission trips to Africa and Central America.

Chris is predeceased by her parents, Lois and Pete Tarantelli. She is survived by her siblings: Thomas (Thelma) Tarantelli of Rotterdam, NY; Karen (Steve) Ungaro of Winter Park, FL; Nicholas (Suzanne Zeien) Tarantelli of Milford, NY; Joseph (Cathleen) Tarantelli of Scotia, NY; Peter Tarantelli of Troy, NY; and Valerie Tarantelli of Amsterdam, NY. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, Chris requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center ( http://adrccares.org/donate/monetary-gifts-and-bequests/ ) or the Penn Memory Center ( http://pennadc.org/gifts/ ).
