Obituary

Ms. Charlotte Adams Epstein, 76, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away at Morton Plant Hospital on July 25, 2018. Charlotte, daughter of the late Murray and Sylvia Adams, and sister of late brother Harland Adams, was born May 26, 1942 in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
She attended the public schools in Rowley, Massachusetts before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida and attending St. Pete High School, graduating in 1960. Upon graduation she attended nursing school at St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1963.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Robert Epstein in 1963. This union was blessed with two children. Even though divorced in 1997, Robert and Charlotte remained loving friends until Robert Epstein preceded her in death on February 12, 2010.
Charlotte started her career as an OB/GYN – Staff Nurse working for Dr. McCreary at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Shortly after the birth of their second child, Charlotte and Robert moved to West Palm Beach where she got a job as a Relief Charge Nurse at John F. Kennedy Hospital. Her capabilities excelled quickly and in three short years she worked as a head Nurse in Orthopedics at Lake Worth Psychiatric Hospital and then Head Nurse at Apollo Medical Center. But their whole family was missed so Robert, Charlotte and the kids moved back to St. Petersburg, FL. She worked her career up from Associate Director of Nurses at Bay Area Home Health Care, to Branch Manager/Regional Vice President at several home health care agencies throughout St. Petersburg, FL. Upon retiring from nursing in 2007, she decided to make a change into one of her passions, real estate and home décor. She got her real estate license and worked for Keller Williams.
Charlotte had several hobbies. She loved home décor, gardening, and cooking. She was the matriarch for the family and held Christmas at her house for all 22+ of the family and some friends for 50 years. She loved taking care of her whole family.
She is survived by and her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her sisters Carolyn Adams-Wallace (husband Darrell Wallace) of Spring Hill, FL and Susan Adams Melvin (husband Danny Melvin) of St. Petersburg, FL; her children Kathy Epstein-Leis (husband Tom Leis) of Lakewood Ranch, FL and David Epstein of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandchildren Rebecca Ashley Leis of Orlando, FL, Christopher Adam Leis of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Jessica Epstein and Derrick Epstein both of St. Petersburg, FL; her nephews Terry Frame and his family and Todd Frame and his family both of St. Petersburg, FL; her 2 grand-nieces and 2 grand-nephews; and many family friends. As a result of her caring and loving nature she was loved by many, but most of all, by her family.
The family will receive friends to celebrate her life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 9:30AM until 11:30AM, with the service taking place at 10AM at R. Lee Williams and Sons Funeral Home, 3530 49th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710, (727) 527-1177. You're prayers and all expressions of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated.
