Schick, Charles F. 98, of St. Petersburg, crossed over Feb. 11, 2015. He was born Aug. 29, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY. He was an avid horseman, working at various tracks around the nation. Among his accomplishments was the early training of Seabiscuit & War Admiral. The St. Pete Times did a story on him �The Link Between Legends�. Charles was thrilled to speak about his past experiences, he would always preface his statements with �I just had to laugh�. He was a wonderful father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Sandra Doscher, Charlene Shelfer (Bob), Barbara Lynch (Lawrence); 6 grandchildren, Kenji, Alisa, Chad, Ben, Joe & Laura; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Walter). Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Elizabeth, and his sister Mildred. Charles was dearly loved & will be forever missed. Visitation Sunday, Feb. 15 from 2-5 P.M. at the R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home. Graveside service Monday, Feb. 16 at 11 A.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
