Charles Richard "Dick" Goodin Sr. 78, of Pinellas Park, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 after a long illness surrounded by all of his family.

He was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Norfolk, VA, attending Norview High School.

He was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, and his family meant the world to him.

In his early years he served in the 29th Infantry Division of the Virginia Army National Guard.

He was chief engineer of Flav-o-Rich Dairy and then managed Reddy Ice Distribution in St. Petersburg, Fl.

He retired to be with his wife of 59 years, the love of his life, Saundra Mills "Sandy".

He is survived by one sister, Virginia Hayth. He is also survived by his children, who loved him dearly, Charles "Rick" Jr., wife Suzan; Elisabeth "Beth" Young, husband Glenn; Stephanie Canning, husband Joseph; Andrew, wife Kirsten; and grandchildren who called him "Papa"-Zachary, Jessica, Alyssa, Ashley, Kylie, and Calden.
