Charles Philip "Chuck" Brandt passed away on October 4th, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.
Born in 1958 in Smithville, Missouri, Chuck graduated from the University of Florida in 1982. He was an avid Gator fan and loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He played some golf, by his own admission with more enthusiasm than skill. He had a particular way with plants and always had a garden full of vegetables and flowers.
Chuck worked in construction management with Turner Construction for nearly 35 years, most of them in the Orlando area. His projects included Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, and most recently the Orlando International Airport. He was an active member of the Central Florida Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, serving as Chairman of the Board in 2004.
Chuck's greatest joy was his family and he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda, and three children: Chad (spouse: Kaitlin), Stephanie (Spouse: Jake) and Collin, as well as Chad's two boys, Finley and Sullivan.
He was also a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his honor at the National Forest Foundation, to keep alive and growing the outdoors that he loved.
