Charleen was born January 16, 1947 to Pete S. Johnson and Myrtis Felder in Charleston, SC. She grew up in a loving family with her brother, James Johnson and her sister, Artemis Johnson Shaddrix. She graduated from James Island High School and University of South Carolina where she majored in Journalism.
She married Walter G. Dukes in 1965 and moved to the Orangeburg area where they raised her only child, Kerry. She later had a second marriage to Charles Still. She worked in the legal industry and was always helpful to friends and family with advice and matters. She has a special love for her pets and is survived by her two dogs, Eddie and Isis, who are remaining with family and friends. She moved to Orlando, Fl in 1999 to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. She continued her love of the work in the legal field in Orange and Seminole County. She had an abundance of energy and passion for life, as she enjoyed weekend getaways to the local beaches and theme parks.
Charleen will be greatly missed as her love was compassionate and never ending. We are so thankful for the life she has given to us.
