Obituary

Cesar Huertas Canelo, age 79, passed away on March 7, 2026. He was born on
January 11, 1947, in Callao, Peru.

Cesar is survived by his loving wife, Judith Canelo; his children, Kenneth Canelo and
Jeannette Blair; grandchildren, MSgt Hector Cruz, Tatiana Tosado, Jazelyn Franklin,
Noah Franklin, and Gabriel Hurst; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Margarita
Canelo, Ricardo Canelo, and Roberto Canelo.

Cesar proudly served in the United States Army for 24 years, achieving the rank of
Sergeant First Class and serving honorably in the Gulf War.

He cherished life with his family, enjoyed traveling the world, loved a good glass of red
wine and lived the American dream. Cesar lived by the motto: "Experience life to the
fullest, take the trip!"

Cesar's warmth, sense of adventure, and devotion to his family will be remembered and
deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on March 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DeGusipe
Funeral Home & Crematory, 9001 Orlando Avenue, Maitland, Florida 32751. Burial will
follow at Bushnell National Cemetery on March 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM.
