Kate Connelly of Longwood, Florida, died Friday, August 24, 2018. She was 88.

Mrs. Connelly was born August 3, 1930 in Union City, New Jersey to the late Christopher and Margaret Brown Maher. She married Michael Connelly on May 14, 1949 in Jersey City, New Jersey.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Michael John Connelly; her daughter, Margaret Winter and husband Glen; her daughter, Maureen Moses and husband Tom; and her son, Michael Connelly Junior. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Christopher and wife Karen Mae, Adam and wife Lisa, Kyle and wife Sandra, Ryan and wife Katie, Meaghan, Tara Wach and husband Andrew and Sean as well as 9 great grandchildren: Piper, Phoenix, Samuel, Penelope, Fiona, Arthur, Nolan, Cody, and Patrick.

She was predeceased by her son, Mark Christopher Connelly as well as her sister and brother in law, Theresa and Raymond Martin.

Kate's lifelong love of singing and her beautiful voice were a joy to family, friends and acquaintances.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 PM on August 28, 2018 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
