Mrs. Carroll Goldstein passed away peacefully in Longwood, FL at the age of 82, after a short bout with cancer. She lived a blessed life and left behind many dear friends and family. Carroll is survived by her husband Neil, son Sean, daughter-in-law Patricia, and grandchildren Isabelle and Aiden, and brother, Gerald Ditta.
Carroll was born on June 7th, 1942, in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, LA. She graduated from LSU and, on a whim, moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she met Neil. They were married for 53 beautiful years. A career educator, Carroll and Neil and their young child relocated to the Orlando area, where Carroll found her passion teaching English at Teague Middle School. Eventually transitioning into guidance counseling, she also worked at Rosenwald School and as a staffing specialist for Seminole County schools. She was honored as the Seminole County High School Counselor of the Year in 2004.
A devout Catholic, Carroll was heavily involved with the church, volunteering her time and serving as a Eucharistic minister. A viewing is scheduled for 9:30 am directly followed by a funeral mass to begin at 10:00 am on Monday, February 24th, at her home church of Annunciation in Altamonte Springs, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend to pay their respects and celebrate Carroll's life.
