Carolyn Lee Hatcher, age 78 years, of Fern Park, Florida, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Carolyn was born on January 14, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the youngest daughter of five children of Estell and Emma (Beaderstead) Garwood. The family relocated to Miami, Florida where Carolyn grew up, met her husband, and started a family of her own. In 1983, the Hatchers moved to Fern Park.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Hatcher, daughter Beverly (Chris) Barwick and grandson Parker; granddaughter Chloe Callin, grandson Gavin Wilson, and son-in-law Whitney Wilson. She is predeceased by her daughter Sharon and former son-in-law Benjamin Callin. She also leaves behind many relatives and friends who loved her.
Carolyn was an avid rug hooker and helped organize the local chapter named the Citrus Belles Rug Hooking Guild. Most recently she had several of her rugs on display at the Barberville Pioneer Settlement. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked at Walmart for 22 years. Carolyn also loved growing orchids, crafting, and spending time with her friends and family. She was friendly to everyone and will be remembered by many for the beautiful person she was.
At Carolyn's request, no services will be held as she wanted to be remembered as she was the last time you saw her.
