Carole D. Imes, 75, of Winter Springs, passed away on April 24, 2016 at her home after a year long battle with cancer. She was born on August 15,1940 in East Cleveland, Ohio to Andrew and Ollie Kovatch.

Carole graduated from Bowling Green State University, Ohio in 1961 with a BS in Journalism. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, an advertising manager and issue editor of Bowling Green News. Carole started working in real estate in the early 1980s at Emerson and Herod Realty and received many awards and recognitions while working at Coldwell Banker Realty. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Walter G. Imes, Jr., daughter Holly Rouse (Kirk) of Fruitland Park, son Greg Dimperio of Longwood, Ryan Dimperio of Longwood, and four grandchildren Hannah, Haley, Hope and Dylan. Also, her beloved Bichon, Daisy who gave her much joy. Carole was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She touched many lives through her kindness and generosity and was loved by all that met her. She enjoyed cooking, photography, bird watching, and ancestry projects. Recently she became involved in the 365 photo group where she met many loving friends from all over the world. Carole enjoyed the church she most recently attended, New Covenant Church in Winter Springs.

The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice Care- Maitland, FL Team 191 for the loving care and utmost compassion Carole received during her last days at home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VITAS or Ovarian cancer research.

There will be a Public Viewing 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM and Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:30 pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at New Covenant Church, 800 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs, FL 32708 with Father Clint Kandle officiating.

There will be a private family graveside services at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
