Carol Ann Doxie Roberts, 78, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on July 3rd, 2015.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Bayonne, NJ on October 31, 1936 to the late Melvin A. Doxie and Mary G. "Jean" Swesso Doxie. She moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1956 and married Harold R. Roberts of New Smyrna Beach in 1961. Shortly afterwards they moved to Sanford and she has lived in the area ever since.
Mrs. Roberts spent many years as a substitute teacher and volunteer at All Souls School in Sanford. She also held several jobs over the years but her greatest success was as a loving mother and amazing grandmother. She was incredibly giving, donating to many local and national charities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Roberts; and brother Robert J. Doxie. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Roberts of Orlando and Mark and Vicki Roberts of South Carolina; sister Vickie (and husband Dale) Young of Tennessee; brother Melvin J. Doxie of New Smyrna Beach; three grandchildren, and many other family members.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday, July 9th at DeGusipe Funeral Home, Sanford (407-695-2273 or www.degusipefuneralhome.com ).
