Carmen "Lilly" Noceda died peacefully in Orlando, Florida on June 4, 2018 at the age of 64. Lilly is survived by her oldest daughter, Marisol V. Rodriguez, son-in law Frank and Lilly's grandsons Nathan & Adam all of Orlando, Florida. Lilly's youngest Daughter, Nivea T. Martinez of Kissimmee, and Lilly's longtime partner, John "Tony" Martinez of Kissimmee.
Lilly was born on July 9, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Jose and Candida Noceda.
Lilly spent all of her life in Chicago, until 2012 when she moved to Florida. Lilly loved dancing, shopping, listening to her oldies, visiting with family, and friends. Lilly loved to write letters and send cards to her all friends and family as a form of keeping in contact over the years. The first of her health challenges began with her Diabetes taking a toll and her first amputation below the knee in 2014. Then several heart procedures in 2015-2016 and 2nd toe amputation. As Lilly's health declined, she had her first stroke in August of 2017. Lilly was then admitted to Westminster Towers in downtown Orlando. There she underwent therapy process and met a fantastic group of therapists who would try to nurse her to health. Unfortunately, Lilly had another stroke and her health declined further. She continued to fight through her high blood pressure, diabetes, and multiple arising health issues. Though everything, Lilly maintained a smile and developed strong friendships among the nurses, cna's, activities staff and friends she made along the way at Westminster becoming her new home. Lilly was very strong and feisty in her own way but very lovable and funny. During her time there she made crafts, colored pictures, participated in her favorite activity, which was BINGO. She also participated in group outings and BBQ'S, and family outings which she always enjoyed. As always, Lily LOVED her coffee, so let's drink a cup in her honor!
Please join us Monday June 11, 2018 from 5-7 to celebrate her life. If you are planning to attend, please consider bringing store bought donuts, muffins, cookies, or finger food, etc. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the daughters or to the American Diabetes Association.
