Carly Veronica Palensky Oehm was born on December 29, 1988 in Lincoln, Nebraska and died peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2026 at 37 years of age in Orlando, Florida where she has lived for the past 15 years. She was the youngest child in the family.

Carly walked and talked early in life. And had an extremely quick wit early on too. She loved animals from a young age and had many pets -- from hamsters, gerbils, fish, cats and dogs.
Carly was always talented with her hands doing various art projects and it was natural for her to become an accomplished hair stylist.

Survivors include her mother and step-father - Lori Palensky and Gary Richards, a brother and wife - Nathan and Brooke, and a special niece Pepper, a sister Alexandrea and husband, Luke. Additionally, Ringo and Henry, her beloved dogs. Carly has many aunts and uncles all around the country as well as multiple beloved friends. Carly's father - James Oehm, proceeded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 3 PM in Orlando at the Whole Life Church. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations be made to your local humane society and the Advent Health Hospice in Orlando, Florida.
