Carl L. Von Herbulis, age 94, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2020. He was born in Sorrento, Lake County on May 18, 1926 the son of Albert and Mary (McDonald) Von Herbulis.

Carl was preceded in death by his siblings Paul, Jimmy and Bobby Von Herbulis, and sisters Alberta (Von Herbulis) Kramer and Dottie (Von Herbulis) Anthony. He is survived by his sister Margaret (Von Herbulis) Wiggins and many nieces, nephews and other relatives who still live in Sanford, as well as many longtime friends.

Carl was a founding member and Past Grand Knight of the Catholic men's organization, the Knights of Columbus, Father Richard J. Lyons Council 5357 serving the All Souls and Nativity Church communities; and whose charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. In January of 2020 the Knights dedicated a hall in Carl's name acknowledging his service as a founding member of the Sanford Council and of the Bingo Committee. In July of 2020 Carl received the lifetime achievement award recognizing his multiple pivotal roles in the organization's history.
