Obituary

Carl Edwin Springman, much loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of 84 on the morning of January 8, 2014 from heart and kidney failure. Our hearts are heavy but our souls rejoice because he is with Jesus, his Lord and Savior.

Carl lived with his 2 daughters in their Casselberry, Florida home where his last 2 years were spent gardening, cooking, and watching football with his grandson, Brian. He was a retired bricklayer/mason contractor as well as a self-taught wildlife artist. In addition he was a Navy Veteran who proudly served his country, was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter. Carl was an amazing role model of strength and courage who had a keen sense of humor, was sweet, kind and generous. Carl was born on May 18, 1929, in Hobart, Indiana, to Louis and Marie (Zobjeck) Springman. He lived most of his life in Gary, Indiana. He retired to Eddyville, Kentucky with his wife Nancy who succumbed to cancer in 1995 and later met the 2nd love of his life, Beverly Bell with whom he spent over 10 precious years in their Eddyville, KY home before moving to Florida.
