Caridad Garcia Benito Jozik passed away March 15, 2017. She was born on July 23, 1925 in Morillejo, Spain to Dionisio Garcia Ibanez and Francisca Benito Calzadilla. In addition to her parents and her brothers and sisters, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joseph James Jozik, Jr.
Caridad and her husband met and were married in Madrid, Spain, where he was stationed in the U.S. Military. They moved to the United States shortly thereafter where she joyfully devoted herself to the care of her husband and son.
She loved her home country of Spain, where she lived almost half of her life; However, she was very honored to become a United States Citizen in 2004, after passing the test with flying colors.
Caridad was greatly loved by her large, extended family and many friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart and giving spirit. She is survived by her son, Joseph "Jose" Marcos Jozik, daughter-in-law, Erin, and granddaughter, Laurel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, living both in the U.S. and abroad.
A graveside service will be held on March 17, 2017 at 12:30pm at the Florida National Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband.
