Obituary

Brenda R. Chin passed away on September 21, 2021, in Altamonte Springs, FL after many years of poor health. Mrs. Chin was born on March 11, 1948 in Kingston, Jamaica to Mr. Cecil Maragh and Mrs. Ethel Murray.

She was proud of her rich heritage and always put family first. While in Jamaica she met Frank Chin, the love of her life. They moved to New York in pursuit of her future career in floral design. She pursued her passions, studying at the New York School of Floral Designing and achieved her certificate.

After her father's passing she moved back to Jamaica to help take care of her family. They then immigrated to the United States in the 70's where they became naturalized citizens of the United States. Mrs. Brenda Chin lived as a proud American as she worked alongside her husband as owners of many Floral businesses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka and Casselberry, Florida. A vibrant, creative, and exceptionally kindhearted woman, her compassion for others will always be remembered by her friends, family and the many customers that passed through.

Brenda lived a fulfilling life lead by faith and family. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Ethel, brother Morin, and sister Dian. She is survived by her loving husband of over 55 years Franklin Chin, her devoted daughters Natalie and Natasha, their husbands Daniel Soloway and Esteban Scornik, and her four beloved grandchildren Rachael and Rebecca Soloway and Dean and Alana Scornik. She will also be remembered by her brother's daughters Kathy and Elizabeth as well as her sister's husband George Powell, and nieces Candy and Jeanice and their entire family. Mrs. Brenda Chin will continue to peacefully watch over her family from heaven.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Research or the Treatment Fund and the National Kidney Registry.

The family of Brenda Chin invites you to leave a message of condolence on the Tribute Wall created in her loving memory.
