Bonnie Jane Lahr, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the age of 79, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 6, 1942, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to Jane and Earle Christman. She was a loving wife to John Lahr, dedicated mother and doting grandmother.

Bonnie was a public servant at the United States Post Office for 27 years. She later volunteered at Brookshire Elementary, local voting precincts and was active in her church, St. John's Lutheran.

Known for her outgoing personality and quirky sense of humor, Bonnie made friends wherever she went. In retirement she was particularly fond of her friends at Curves and the Winter Park YMCA. Her love of animals extended to all creatures, though she was especially fond of Boston Terriers, particularly her dog Lulu. She enjoyed music, including playing the piano and attending live concerts. Bonnie's sense of adventure reached beyond her physical abilities later in life, but that never stopped her from enjoying a challenge.

Bonnie is survived by her husband John, her son, Johnny Lahr (and his significant other, Suzy Schickofke) her daughter, Laurie Hardin (and Laurie's husband Kevin Hardin), her granddaughter and great love, Isabella Lahr and her sister Penny Nastase.

A service celebrating Bonnie's life will be held on Saturday, August 7, at 11 AM, with a reception to follow at St. John's Lutheran Church: 1600 S. Orlando Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.
