With her family by her side, Blanche D'Silva was called home to eternal rest on April 29, 2021.
Blanche (Bulla) was born on June 27, 1958 in Bombay, India. On December 19, 1979, she married Joaquim (Joe) D'Silva and they raised two strong and independent daughters, Joanne and Bianca. After living in India, Iraq, and Dubai, Bulla immigrated to the US in 1995.
Bulla's greatest joy in life was spending time with her close-knit family and dear friends. She took great pride in cooking delicious and elaborate meals for them, always experimenting with new ingredients and cuisines. She had a passion for music, with a beautiful singing voice, whether she was singing in the church choir or belting out classic karaoke hits. She was also a pro dancer with her favorite dance partner Joe, their favorites being the jive and waltz. One of her other favorite pastimes was spending Saturdays rooting on the Florida Gators and Chelsea FC soccer with Joe cheering at her side.
Bulla was known for her infectious smile, generous spirit, and loving concern for others. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Bulla is preceded in death by her parents, Sebastian and Palmira Pereira, her brother Cajetan Pereira, her in-laws, Carmelito and Milagrina D'Silva, and Thomas D'Silva. She is survived by her loving husband Joe and children, Joanne (Arun) and Bianca as well as her brother Danny Pereira (Greta), sister Regina Parpia (Akbar), sister-in-law Avelina D'Silva, brother-in-law Luis D'Silva (Justina), sister-in-law Valentine Pereira, nieces and nephews (Johnny, Connie, Harrison, Clariza, Careen, Ryan, Russell, Abigail, Janice, Joshua, and Jason) and a whole host of great nieces and nephews, adopted children, family and friends.
