Dewitz, Billy Joe or "BJ" as everyone knew him, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2014, at the age of 71. BJ was survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Lynnette Dewitz.

BJ is also survived by his son, Johnny Dewitz (and grandchildren Shawn, Cameron and Cole); daughter, Shana Tingley (and her husband David Tingley) and grandchildren Brittany & Ryan, Josh & Lalaina, and Alex), daughter, Julie Hennig (and her husband Kent Hennig) and grandchildren Adam & Sarah and Joetta & Michael and great grandchildren Khloe, Nate, Evan and Savannah); daughter Kathy Rosson (grandchildren Courtney & Steven, Tyler & Christin, and Hannah), son, Joseph Dewitz; and son, Steven Dewitz (and his wife Ashley). He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki Meenach and Penny Watkins, both of Dayton, Ohio.

BJ was a long time member of the Pentecostal Church of Longwood, where services will be conducted by Pastor Ryan Loyd on Friday, August 15, 2014. There will be a public viewing beginning at 6:00 PM with a celebration of BJ's life to follow at 7:00 PM. The address for the Pentecost Church of Longwood is 561 Orange Avenue, Longwood, Florida.

A reception will be held for family and close friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.

It's just been a couple of days ago since BJ passed away, but he's already missed so much, by so many. Thank you for all of your expressions of love and encouragement.
