Betty Shaw, Maitland FL, age 90, passed away April 19, 2016 at Hospice of The Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL. Betty was born in East St Louis, IL. She graduated from Drake University with a degree in elementary education. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park, PEO, DAR and Delta Gamma. She was an avid golfer, involved with the Maitland Art Center in the 1970s, and enjoyed her years as a docent at the Orlando Museum of Art.

She was married to Stanley Shaw for 49 years until his death in 1998. Betty is survived by her brother, Anthony Bott of Cornwall, PA; her daughters, Susan Robinson of Merrimack, NH and Carol O'Mahony of Maitland, FL; four grandsons, and four great-grandchildren. Her son, Scott Shaw, preceded her in death in 2013.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 26 at 10 AM at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park with Rev. Gary Rideout officiating.

A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
