Betty Carol Petry went to be with the Lord at her home in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She was 77.

Betty was born in Plymouth, West Virginia to Neal and Mae Dent. She grew up in Montgomery, West Virginia where she graduated from Montgomery High School in 1957 and married Everett Wray Petry on June 30, 1962.

She had a sweet and gentle spirit and was an active member of Calvary Assembly where she faithfully served in the prayer ministry and as a greeter. She was a great listener and a loving mother and grandmother, known affectionately by her grandchildren as "Nanny." She loved hosting guests, giving gifts and decorating her home, so naturally, the holidays were her favorite time of year.

She is survived by her husband, Wray, her two sons, Greg (Ginger) and Randy (Alicia) Petry, and her five grandchildren, Tori, Savannah, Chase, Alex and Thomas.

Services will be held at Calvary Assembly at 1199 Clay Street, Winter Park, Florida on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The visitation is at 2:00 pm and the funeral will be held at 3:00 pm.
