Betty G. Garner, 87, died Sunday, September 9th. Born on May 3, 1931 in Lafayette, KY, to James Earl and Nancy Walker Guinn, she graduated from South Christian HS, was married to Bill Garner, Sr. for 30 years and was a loving wife and mother.
Betty chaired numerous social organizations, had a four decade long career as a professional fashion model and worked as a secretary/goodwill ambassador for Garner Window and Door in Orlando. Faith and family were the most important elements of her life. Many who knew her considered her the consummate southern lady, with her beautiful accent, impeccable dress, cooking prowess and smile that filled any room she entered.
She is survived by her son Will, daughter-in-law Mary Ann, grandchildren Jennifer Homayouni, Julie Garner, and Taylor Garner, great grandchildren Cyrus and James Homayouni.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 16th from 3-5pm at the home of Will and Mary Ann in Maitland, FL. (2025 King Arthur Cir.)
