Obituary

Betty U. Coladonato age 90, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on February 15, 2020 at Longwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Longwood, Florida. Betty was born in Aurora, Illinois on September 28, 1929 to Norman and Lillian Udstad and moved to Davenport, Florida in 1944 with her parents. She was the youngest of six children, her elder siblings being Doris, Kenny, Ruth, Norman and Richard.

She married James Wilkens in 1950 and together they had their son, James in 1951. She was divorced in 1959 and soon met and married Carmen (CJ) Coladonato in 1962. They were happily married for 62 years.

Betty worked for the Winter Park Telephone Company for over 35 years and made many wonderful friends. She and CJ met roller skating and they were big square dancers with a group of about ten couples. In the last six years of her life, her best friend and companion-caretaker, Nina Woulfe with John Thaens have been by her side every day. They loved taking summer vacations to New Jersey to visit CJ's family and vacations to Sanibel Island to visit with son James and his family.

Betty leaves behind her son, James Norman Wilkins and daughter-in-law Beverly; grandchildren Joshua and Megan, and two great-granddaughters Kailen and Maddilyn; sister-in-law Yolanda Scollan, niece Cathy Impalli, nephews T.J.and Robert Scollan and Guido Coladonato.

Services will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory:
Visitation from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, February 22, 2020 with
Funeral Service from 10:30 am to 11:15 am and
Burial following at 11:30 am at Glen Haven Cemetery.
