Betty Ann Carson, age 89, succumbed to Alzheimer's Disease on March 26, 2026,
at Village on the Green in Longwood, Florida.
She was born on January 7, 1937, in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of the late
Clarence and Eleanor Baxter, Ravenna, OH.
For more than 30 years Betty Ann served her community as a Registered Nurse at
the Orthopedic Association office of Madison, Mackey, and Rogers in Winter Park
and Village on the Green in Longwood. Prior to moving to Florida, she was a
Registered Nurse at St. John's Hospital and Robinson Memorial Hospital both in
Ohio.
As a member of NAON (National Association of Orthopedic Nurses) she
participated in conference planning and national meetings. Always giving of
herself to others, she volunteered tirelessly at Shepard's Hope of Orlando, St. Joan
of Arc Circle and Hospice of the Comforter both of Altamonte Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E.
Carson, her brother Clarence Baxter, Jr and sister-in-law Helen Baxter.
She is survived by three children, Paul E. Carson, Jr, of Longwood, Kevin Carson
of Winter Springs, Karen Sissy Carson Holton and son-in-law Donald Holton of
New Smyrna Beach, two grandchildren Andrew and Alexis Carson, a niece Karen
Sue Zoeller, and a Godson Steve Ensinger.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, 10:30 am, at Annunciation
Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in
Betty Ann's memory to Hospice of the Comforter of Altamonte Springs, FL. Her
duties here often took her to the bedside of the dying as she strongly believed that
"no one should die alone."
