Mrs. Betty Jean Beauchamp Benge passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 at home in Maitland, Florida. Betty was born April 14, 1940 in Davie County to the late Eugene Roosevelt and Ruth Robertson Beauchamp. Betty graduated from Davie High School and High Point University. She was a school teacher and enjoyed working with children. She loved to play tennis and bridge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Alton "Kit" Beauchamp, Earlie "Jay Bird" Beauchamp and a sister, Shirley Cornatzer.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Tony Benge as well as daughter, Heather Burton and son. Tony Benge Jr. (Robyn) and granddaughters Taylor Abernathy (Scott), Chase Bowman (Nathan) and Anna Benge. She also had two great-granddaughters, Lily Bowman and Emma Abernathy

Services will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at Bixby Presbyterian Church located at 1806 Fork Bixby Road, Advance, NC 27006 at 11:00 a.m.
