Bertha "Bert" Dwyer died peacefully at home on November 25th, 2018 in Altamonte Springs, Florida at the age of 95.

Bertha is survived by sister Joan (CT), her children Sharon (Olean, NY), Gary (Winter Springs, FL), Brendan (Orlando, FL), and her grandchild Corinn (Sanford, FL). She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her daughter Dierdre, her parents, John and Mary, and her siblings, John (NY), Rosemarie (NY), Philip (FL), and George (NY).

Bertha was born in 1923 in Hicksville, NY to John and Mary. She graduated from Hicksville High School in 1941. She married Charles J. Dwyer, a manager at New York Telephone and AT&T, in 1946. Bertha and Charles moved to Setauket, New York, where they raised their three children. Bertha was housewife, avid seamstress, and passionate quilter with several of her quilts recognized for their beauty.

We will be celebrating her life on December 2nd at DeGusipe funeral home (9001 Orlando Ave. Maitland, FL) from 3 pm to 5 pm. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am December 3rd, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
