Ben Goodwin O'Neill, age 88, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Born and raised in Longtown, Mississippi, he later attended and graduated from Mississippi State University. Ben received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.

He was employed by Dow chemical in Louisiana. He then worked for BASF in Williamsburg, Virginia and Anderson, South Carolina.

Ben was an avid gardener, fisherman and golfer. He loved watching college football games on Saturday. Another pastime he enjoyed was traveling around the U.S. with his wife in their motorhome.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years. He also left behind; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law residing in Virginia, a daughter and son-in-law in Utah and a daughter and son-in-law in Washington state. Ben also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
