Belinda Horwitz passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family in Altamonte Springs, FL on June 2, 9:02pm at the age of 57.
Belinda De Oliveria Horwitz is survived by her daughter Erin Horwitz of Miami, sister Carol Marques of Porto, Portugal, niece Nicole Marques of Porto, Portugal and
niece Ivana Marques of Porto, Portugal. Belinda De Oliveria is preceded in death by Mr. and Mrs. Rui De Oliveira of Lisbon, Portugal.
Belinda Pessoa De Oliveira was born December 10, 1966 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Mr. and Mrs. Rui De Oliveira. Belinda graduated from a private high school in South Africa in 1984.
Belinda attended some college for higher education. Belinda married Scott Horwitz in Altamonte Springs year 1994. Belinda's strong passion was to be involved in fashion industry. This led her into becoming an entrepreneur. Shortly thereafter, Belinda launched her own business with a website titled: "BEDAZZLING BY BELINDA" …Unique One-of-a-Kind Handmade Swarovski Jeweled Lingerie, Designer Dresses and Swimwear. To promote her business, Belinda presented fashion shows throughout Orlando and Winter Park. Belinda wanted to reach even higher levels of success setting up a booth in Las Vegas at one of the largest garment/fashion shows in the country. Belinda also presented fashion shows in New York and Miami. In addition, Belinda started a court reporting business called LEGAL LINES with her best friend Diane, located in downtown Orlando. She was fluent in 5 languages which made her valuable as a language translator...… which is quite the accomplishment for a girl from Portugal! Belinda was also a realtor selling real estate in Central Florida and South Florida.
A funeral service will be held from 1:00 - 4:00pm (1:00-2:00 for family, 2:00-4.00 for visitors and guests) June 8, 2024 at DeGusipe Funeral Home at 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL. Father Walsh will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Belinda's life.
Flowers may be sent to the DeGusipe Funeral Home, or if desired, a donation can be sent to: American Diabetes Association(diabetes.org for local chapter) in honor of Belinda Horwitz.
