Basilia "Celing" Marin (born Divino), age 88, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Riverview Retirement Center in Titusville, Florida with her five beloved children at her side. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a brother, two sisters, and nieces and nephews both in the United States and her native Philippines.

Celing was married to Andres Marin in 1946 until his passing in 2017. Together they raised six children, Cora, Tessie, Cecile, Len, Jun and the late Zaldy in Quezon City, in the Philippines. Having finished raising her children at a young age, she turned her considerable energy next to helping raise and nurture her grandchildren. Those who lived with her as young kids truly regard "Mangmi," as she was affectionately known, as their second mother.

Besides being a homemaker, at different points in her life she ran her own store, hosted nieces and nephews in her home, worked at her daughter's nursing home, and enjoyed traveling in retirement. She was blessed with many happy and productive years with her husband Andres and took advantage of every day. She will forever be remembered for her deep devotion to family, generosity, humor, and warmth.

Her children extend their heartfelt gratitude to family and friends who took the time and traveled great distances to visit Celing in the hospital or in her home. The last weeks of her life were as joyful and comfortable as possible. The kindness and love from so many continue to sustain her family through their grief and will always be remembered.
