Barbara S Weaver, 88, of St. Petersburg, Florida died peacefully on January 30th, 2023. Barbara, fondly known as Bobbie, was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1934. She traveled the all over the country with her beloved husband Wayne Weaver, who was a member of the US Coastguard for nearly 30 years, before settling down in St. Petersburg in 1992.
One of her favorite adventures was Ketchikan, Alaska. Bobbie and Wayne lived there for a number of years, collecting glass floats from the beach, hosting dinner parties and collecting beautiful artwork which still hangs in their home to this day.
Bobbie was also a master seamstress who also had a knack for crochet. She enjoyed crafting outfits, costumes and blankets. One of her favorite pieces was matching Raggedy Ann Halloween costumes and wigs for her niece Danielle and sister Melissa. Bobbie was the life of the party whenever she went. Her infectious smile and elaborate, fabulous outfits naturally drew everyone's eyes to her. She could spark up a friendship with people from all walks of life, young or old. Bobbie had a heart of gold, filled with overwhelming love and kindness. She would do anything to help someone in need. She was also affectionately known as "Huggy Weaver" because she would embrace anyone and everyone in a hug. She was a walking ray of sunshine who had an unmatched zest for life, she will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her."
