Barbara L. Jenco (Gorsuch) 83 of St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully at home in the care of Hospice November 10, 2022.
Barbara was born April 21, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of Dorothy L. Ochs and raised by her stepfather John Ochs. She married Joseph M. Jenco November 12, 1960 and they were married for 46 years.
Barbara retired from Gompers Jr. High School where she worked years as the administrative assistant prior to moving to St. Petersburg, FL in 1995.
Barbara and her late husband raised three children: Douglas Jenco (Elwood, IL), Deborah (Nancy) Jenco (Kankakee, IL) and Jodi Jenco (St. Petersburg, FL). Grandchildren of Mallory Jenco, Tyler (Marilynn) Jenco, Joseph Jenco, Carl (Jennifer) Walls, Sarah (Blaine)Gray-LePere, and Christopher Rocha. Great Grandmother to Emersyn Jenco, Harper & Bennett Walls. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in which she loved dearly along with her beloved dog Payton.
Barbara attended Joliet Jr. College. She loved painting, decorating, cooking and rehabbing properties with her late husband. She was active with the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 125.
Preceded in death by her much loved husband Joseph M. Jenco, Mother Dorothy L. Ochs, Stepfather John Ochs, Aunt Kay Fisher and Uncle Benjamin Fisher.
The family will announce a Celebration of Life and a family memorial at Abraham Lincoln Veterans Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, in the near future.
