Barbara Ann Irwin, 76, of Baltimore, MD, a woman of quiet,confident strength; Matriarch of her family, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on September 24, 2014. We thank God for the gift of her life and the blessing of the time we spent with her.

Barbara is survived by her 3 daughters, Terri L. Putnik of Sanford, FL, Kathleen A. Dunleavy (Michael Dunleavy) of Sanford, FL and Brenda L. Samartino of Sanford, FL; her grandchildren, Greg Walter, Nicole Walter, Michelle Baer, Stephanie Baer, Christina Samartino and Kaitlyn Samartino; as well as her great-grandchildren, Emma, Benjamin and Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last week were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family.

There will be a service, celebrating the life of Barbara, on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:30 to 3:00 pm; the service will be from 3:00 - 4:00 pm, followed by a reception.
