It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Azby G. Boyd who went to be with Jesus on January 31, 2025. He was born August 19, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Grover C. Boyd and the late Pauline C. (Fowler)(Boyd)(Apone) Groves. In addition to his parents, Azby was proceeded in death by his beloved and adored brother, Jasper R. Boyd and his cherished and precious sister Vanessa M. Pappas.

Azby is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Rinda Rae Boyd, of Farmington, PA, two loving daughters, Melanie Rae Cerny and her husband John of Smithfield, PA and Laura Ann Bean and husband Chuck of Markleysburg, PA, two loving and adoring sisters, Abigail Boyd of Salisbury, NC, and Jennifer Ewing and husband David of Wimauma, FL, Brother-in-law Chuck M. Pappas of Lakeland, FL, Sister-in-Law Carol Michaels and husband David of Addison, PA, seven loving grandchildren, Christian Bean and fiancé Kinzie Ward of Pittsburgh, PA, Isaiah Bean and wife Shayler of Big Brownfield, PA, Elijah Bean and wife Shelly of Greensburg, PA, Patience and Judah Bean of Markleysburg and Johnny and Analise Cerny of Smithfield, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

Azby loved to hunt and fish and race cars. His family thought he was the best mechanic who ever lived. Anyone who knew him knew he could fix literally anything and he was always willing to help anyone, anytime in any way. He had the biggest heart in the universe. Even though he had terrible arthritis in his hands he continued to help friends and family through his pain, which he never complained about. He loved music and loved sharing his favorite musicians with others, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and ZZ Top, the louder the better. Let's Rock and Roll and Getter Done. Believe it or not he loved to garden and can vegetables. He loved his family more than anything in the world and would always tell them, "I love you more than you will ever know," and he meant it with all of his heart, and they loved him back.

A celebration of life gathering is planned for Sunday, June 1, 2025, 1:00, at Somerfield North Recreational Pavilion, near Addison, PA. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to please bring memories and stories and pictures to share of a man who will be greatly missed and never replaced.
