Aurelia Laima Zalnieriunas-Robertson was born the second of three children to Teofilia Maria Suziedelis-Zalnieriunas and Alexandras Zalnieriunas, an engineer, in Kaunas, Lithuania November 8, 1928. Her older sister is Irene, and younger brother Leonardas. Aurelia graduated High School in Germany and then in 1948 the family immigrated out of Europe to South America and settled in the city of Valencia, Venezuela.
Aurelia and Frederick Irwin Ross were married in 1951 and had four children together: Jean Elizabeth, Paul Albert, Edward Anthony, and Fredrick Danny
She was an amazing mother and contributed greatly to her community. She involved her children with boy scouts and served as leader of the cub-scouts. She taught her own Lithuanian folk dance group which participated in many events including international festivals. Aurelia worked in a bank as an office assistant and helped with translating documents.
Aurelia and Glen Robertson were married in 1979.Glen was a wonderful, supportive husband to Aurelia and they lived together in St. Petersrburg, Florida sharing the many joys of life and the love that they had for each other. Glen passed away on November 20, 2009 after being married to Aurelia for thirty years.
Aurelia continued to be an active member of society throughout her life. She worked for many years in data entry for a dentist office, served on the local Lithuanian Committee, taught at a Lithuanian school and continued to live her passion being part of a Lithuanian Folk Dance Group and performing in many events throughout the years. She also love to sing and was a member of the Lithuanian choir in Holy Name Catholic Church in Gulfport, FL. In everything she did, she put pride and honor into her work. Aurelia retired at eighty years old after working at Loraine�s Academy as a dispensary assistant for a couple of years.
Aurelia was a helpful and inspirational person to all. She was a wise and loving mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother who never knew how to complain. On the contrary, her words were always �I am fine� and �Everything is good, there is nothing bad.� To anyone in need, her answer was always �yes.� Her smile was her trademark and she would take on everything and anything not to let anyone down. She was a fighter to the end and yet at the same time, a gentle and caring person.
