AUDREY CHECK BALNIS, 58, left this world Tuesday after a courageous battle with leukemia. Audrey was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, on December 18, 1956. Her parents, Clarence and Lorraine Check predeceased her. She graduated from SPASH in 1975 and moved to Florida to become the long-term employee of Joto's Pizza. She was forced to retire from her position at Joto's after 40 years due to her failing health. Audrey leaves behind her grieving son AJ, daughter-in-law LeeAnn and granddaughter Emilia of Hooksett, New Hampshire with many memories. She is survived by three brothers; Ron (Diana) Check of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Gary (Carol) Check of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Connie (Sandy) Check of Hiram, Georgia, three sisters; Madeline Kovalski of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Carol (Fred) Zinda of North Redington Beach, Florida and Linda (Mike) Zynda of Plover, Wisconsin. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Audrey's greatest joy was her family and she will forever be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. Memorial services will be held at Grace Christian Fellowship Church at 901 Ridge Rd S Largo, FL on Thursday May, 28th at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (LLS.org)
