Obituary

Arthur Winford Levy II died peacefully at his home in Casselbery, Florida on Monday June 4, 2018.

Born to Arthur Winford Levy Sr. and Beatrice Marie Largie on July 14, 1925 in Halifax Canada.

Within a few years the family moved to Arlington Mass where he spent his youth.

He served his country with pride in the Navy from 1942 through 1962 where he fueled his passion for Naval Aviation and where he received commendations for outstanding performance of duties among others. He trained in aviation flight communications, aviation electronics and aerial gunnery. After which he owned a television repair shop and later became a long haul truck driver then dispatcher until full retirement in 1981.
His true passion was music and he immersed himself in learning, composing, practicing and performing with the Seminole Community College Jazz Band, the Lake Brantley Band, the Trumpet Blues Band and lastly the Deltonans. A true lover of the arts he also enjoyed all kinds of dancing. He was the only male member of The Happy Hoofers (one of which was a retired Rockette) and loved it!

He leaves behind Diane Howes (Dan) of Tucson, Az. and Robert (Evelyn) of Titusville, Fl. and six grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Connie Leger of East Longmeadow Mass. and his longtime friend and companion Cleo Clinger of Casselberry Fl.

He is predeceased by sons Arthur and John.

As per his life wishes he was cremated and his cremains will be buried at sea through the Department of the Navy at a later date in accordance with current procedures.

He outlived most all of his mentors, colleagues and friends, but will certainly be missed by those few left behind.
