Obituary

A Scott Freeman, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at home surrounded by family on April 15, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Scott proudly served four years in the Air Force as a Comm Center Specialists earning medals of recognition for the quality of his work. Professionally, Scott owned a retail pet franchise in Madison Wisconsin where his love of animals and business acumen flourished. He later transferred into franchisor management in New England.

Scott's joy came from his love of family, a passion for reading daily, gardening, cooking, and love of animals and nature. He did all these in a big way with intensity and attention to detail. One of his legacies is a three acre, beautifully designed garden filled with hundreds of plants, carved from a pine forrest in New Hampshire which provided the kind of peace that nourishes the soul. He was also an avid football fan supporting the Wisconsin Badger's and the New England Patriots.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Freeman; devoted children, son Denny Freeman and daughter Kimberly Yeich ( Phillip). He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hayden, and Nicholas Yeich as well as niece, Deena Ignatowski (Tamar Lehman).

Scott was preceded in death by his father Arthur Henry Freeman and mother Avis Morong Freeman; two sisters Suzanne Kessler and Cheryl Ignatowski.

Scott's legacy is one of intellect, kindness and dry humor. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared his life.
