Arlene Claire Barna, 81, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her children Darlene and Denise, grandson Eric, and sister Carole.

Arlene was born on June 10, 1939 in the Bronx, New York. On June 20, 1964 she married Joseph Lawrence Barna. They were married for 55 years. Arlene and Joe had two daughters and in 1977 they moved their family to Maitland, Florida to open a TV repair shop.

Arlene worked as an administrative assistant for Blue Cross Blue Shield and a teller for Barnett Bank.

Arlene was a devout Catholic and while in New York taught religious education classes. She enjoyed traveling with family, movies, and trivia. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother. In 1986, a newfound love for Disney was born when Joe got a job at EPCOT. Arlene loved everything Disney.

Arlene was a kind and caring woman who a loved her family deeply. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751.

A Mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
