Antoinette Marie
McDermott
Jan 15, 1953 — Oct 29, 2026
Saturday
First Baptist Church of Longwood
12:00 - 1:00 pm (Eastern time)
Antoinette McDermott, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and woman of deep Christian faith, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 29, 2026. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of warmth, perseverance, and quiet grace.
Originally from Utica, New York, Antoinette centered her entire life on faith and family. She was a deeply loving mother to her two sons, Patrick (and his wife Jennifer) and Jeffrey (and his wife Joanne), who were her greatest pride and joy. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren—Sean, Evan, Logan, Fiona, Ellie, and Brynn—each of whom brought boundless happiness to her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Nick Visalli and Henry Visalli, along with extended family and dear friends.
A woman of remarkable resilience, Antoinette faced life’s trials—having battled cancer twice—with unwavering determination and enduring faith. Her spiritual home was First Baptist Church of Longwood, where she deeply valued the warmth of the fellowship, enjoyed participating in Sunday school, and found profound peace singing the classic Christian hymns that anchored her walk with Christ.
Antoinette believed in serving others with a humble, generous heart. She found immense joy in giving back to her local community, faithfully volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Casselberry to deliver warm food, a friendly smile, and companionship to homebound seniors. At home, that same hospitality shone through in the traditional Italian meals she lovingly prepared for those she held dear. Her gentle nature extended naturally to animals, and she carried a special tenderness for cats throughout her life.
While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in the promises of eternal life, knowing she is at rest in the presence of her Savior.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21
