Anthony (Tony) Robert LaVornia, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020, at home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. Tony was born in Providence RI, and lived in Ocoee, FL for the past 35 years.
Tony served for six years in the Army National Guard. He worked in the automotive industry since 1965 and was passionate about everything that had to do with cars. Tony was well known by friends and family for being generous with his time and talent to help them find the right car, or often fixing what was broken. Tony was known by many Disney royalty as "Papa's Princess Repair", caring for many of the young adults at Disney who did not have a father nearby to answer questions about their vehicles.
Tony valued his marriage to Margie, his wife of 44 years and time with his family above all else. He loved gathering with family whenever possible for holidays, vacations, or just because. Many of the fondest memories for Tony's children and grandchildren will be that of camping road trips up and down the east coast. Tony may have been best known as "Papa" by his grandchildren, their friends, and the many children he cared for during his 10 years serving in the nursery of his church, Mosaic Church.
Tony is loved and will be missed by his wife, Margie LaVornia of Ocoee, FL, his sons Joe LaVornia of Lincoln, RI, Matthew LaVornia of Ocoee, FL, David Kelley of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and daughters Michelle Randall of Cumberland, RI and Kerri-Ann Hayes of Winter Garden, FL. Tony was adored by his nine grandchildren; Brenna Quandt, Mackenzie Hayes, Cameron Hayes, Heather LaVornia, Christopher LaVornia, Nicole Randall, Jameson Randall, Tara Pereira, Derek Demers and great granddaughter, Camilla . He is survived by his brothers, Kenny LaVornia, Donny LaVornia, Dick LaVornia, and sisters, Maureen Collins, Judy Wilde, Suzanne Ehret.
