Anthony Musumeci, Jr., 60, of ChampionsGate, Florida passed away suddenly Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home. Anthony was born December 2, 1958 in Providence, Rhode Island to Anthony and Dorothea (Torrealday) Musumeci. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife of thirty-four years, Donna (Abbatematteo) Musumeci and his cherished daughter, Marissa Ann Musumeci, who was his "Pride and Joy".
Anthony was raised in North Providence and was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Bryant University. He and his wife moved to Cranston where they raised their daughter, always surrounding themselves with loving family and friends. He fully enjoyed life doing all the things he loved to do, skiing, snowmobiling, tennis, cruising, theme park vacations, to name a few, and especially entertaining family and friends in his home. Anthony and Donna relocated to Bella Trae in ChampionsGate, Florida in 2015 following Marissa's move to Orlando after graduating college. Prior to living in Florida, he was employed at Citizen's Bank in Warwick, where he made lasting friendships. He looked forward to visits from his friends and family from "back home." He continued in Mortgage Banking working for SunTrust Bank in Orlando. He happily went off to work every day and came home with a smile every night. Anthony referred to his co-workers, not only as friends, but as his "SunTrust Family." He also was a Walt Disney World Cast Member in Park Event Operations. He enjoyed this role and loved being a part of the Convention Guide family. He would always say, "I work forty plus hours a week, but feel like I'm on vacation."
Anthony is also survived by his mother-in-law Dorothy (Aiello) Abbatematteo of North Providence, two sisters Donna Musumeci and Karyn Tantimonaco, two brothers-in-law Bill and Al Abbatematteo, and his nieces Karen Abbatematteo and Jackie Tantimonaco. He was the son-in-law of the late Albert Abbatematteo. He was also the best "Puppy-Dad" to his sweet baby girl Madison. He cherished his memories of family and the wonderful times spent together throughout the years.
Anthony will be deeply missed by the Bella Trae Community, a group of the kindest and warmest men and women that quickly became "Family." He cherished the fun times and memories he was making with his "BT Family." He will lovingly and forever be remembered for always saying with a smile "We are so blessed to be living here".
Services will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, FL, with a Visitation from 12:15PM to 1:00PM, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass. Reception to follow at the ChampionsGate Golf Club located at the Omni Orlando Resort in ChampionsGate.
