Cowan, Annette Jones

On the morning of January 6, 2015, Annette Abrams Jones Cowan passed away quietly at her home surrounded by a loving family. She was born on July 2, 1927 to Fannie Lee (Boyd) and Alerson D. Abrams. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert M. Jones and by her husband of 9 years, Ralph T. Cowan, Jr. Annette is survived by her daughters; Cheryl (Richard) Willink and Joyce Welling. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Alison (Pat) Johnson, Tami Welling, Robert Welling, and Kimberly (Tim) Smith, six great grandchildren and stepchildren: Ralph T. Cowan III, Chuck Cowan, Gail Hill, and Keith Cowan. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Delma Bowersock and Bea (Don) Beeson of Mineral Wells, WV. She was also preceded in death by her "sister of the heart", Helen Jones Dunn and her "brother" Boyd Coleman and his wife Nellie. Annette was born in and spent her entire life in Sanford and will be remembered as a cherished daughter, loving wife and nurturing mother. Bob and Annette were the owners of Jones Auto Repair for 35 years and spent their retirement years traveling across the country in their motor home. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Sanford.
