Anne Carey, age 84, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 12, 2020. She was born on July 18, 1936 in Joliet, IL to the late Joseph and Ann Sitar.

Anne fought a courageous battle against cancer for the last 8 years of her life, always seeing the silver lining in this journey. She had an adventurous nature that allowed her to see God's work in this beautiful earth and more importantly in His people. She had a special place in her heart for children (her own and all she met) and devoted much of her life to loving them. She will be remembered for her genuine kindness, her warmth and her magnetic smile. She has found her endless Summer where the surf is always up!

She is survived by her ex-husband; Robert Carey, 5 children: Kelly McDaniel, Patricia Carey, Tracy (Matt) DeWitt, Robert Carey, Maribeth (Scott) Madden and brothers; Joseph (Sally) Sitar and James (Bonnie) Sitar.

Per Anne's wishes, there will be no scheduled service at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled sometime next year.
