Anna Maria (Timmes) Scheiner died at the age of 91 in Orlando, Florida on February 21, 2023. Anna Maria was born January 9, 1932, in Far Rockaway, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents John Ferdinand Times and Regina Agnes Borges Timmes. She is survived by her 3 children John J. and Elizabeth Scheiner, Catherine R & David Chellberg, and Joseph G & Vicki Scheiner. Her 6 grandsons: Robert (Shaunna) Scheiner, Christopher (Jennifer) Chellberg, William (Yvonne: in loving memory) Scheiner, Eric (Claudia) Chellberg, James (Samantha) Scheiner and Alexander Scheiner. Her seven great granddaughters: Kayla, Brianna, Riley, Lily, Alexis, Isla and Jillian. Family and Faith were of the utmost importance to her. She was loved and treasured by numerous family members, friends and colleagues.
She graduated from St Agnes High School Rockville Center, NY and The Washington School for Business in NY. She moved from New York to Florida in 1980. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant. She started her career at the New York Telephone & Long Island Lighting Company. She worked for the Plumbers Union in NY and when she moved to Florida, she worked for Cuhaci & Peterson Architects in Orlando/Maitland. She was a member and officer of the Society of Design Administration. She is a member of St Margaret Mary Catholic Church having been a Minister of Eucharistic and member of Greater Generation. She spent many years volunteering in the local food pantries and giving of herself to others.
Visitation will be held at DeGuispe Funeral Home, Maitland Florida on Tuesday February 28,2023 from 4 PM-7:30 PM. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:30 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 1,2023 at 10:00 AM at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park, Florida. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
Final burial will take place at St John's Cemetery Middle Village, Queens, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to UCF CARD (Center for Autism & Related Disabilities) or Advent Health Hospice of Central Florida.
