Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ann D. Watson

July 8, 1955 – August 10, 2026

Ann D. Watson was born on July 8, 1955, in Georgetown, Guyana, South America, to Rita and Colbert Singh. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, family, good food, beautiful places, and plenty of reasons to gather around a table.

If you knew Ann, chances are she probably fed you.

An amazing cook with a true gift in the kitchen, Ann loved preparing meals and, even more, loved sharing them with the people around her. Food was one of the many ways she showed her love. Her home was a place for gathering, celebrating, laughing, eating, and making memories. Whether she was hosting family and friends or simply making sure everyone had something good to eat, Ann had a wonderful way of bringing people together.

She appreciated beautiful things and beautiful experiences. She had a special love for Asian artwork, enjoyed traveling, loved spending time at the beach, and was always ready for a gathering—especially one surrounded by the people she loved.

But more than anything, Ann loved her family.

She was the proud mother of four daughters, Cheyenne, Shakira, Nastasia, and Angelique, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit, strength, and love with them.

Ann is also survived by her beloved mother, Rita DeFreitas, and her five siblings, Donna, Basil, Debbie, Raye, and Larry. She leaves behind a large and loving extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones who were an important part of her life.

Ann’s family extended far beyond names and titles. Throughout her life, she became a source of love, guidance, encouragement, laughter, and strength to so many. She had a way of leaving an impression, and her influence can be seen in countless lives.

While we will miss her deeply, we also celebrate her fully.

We will remember Ann in every lively gathering, every table filled with good food, every trip to somewhere beautiful, every peaceful day near the water, and every moment when family and friends come together simply to enjoy one another.

Her life reminds us that some of the best memories are made around a table, surrounded by people we love.

So, in Ann’s honor, cook something delicious, invite someone over, take the trip, go to the beach, laugh loudly, love your family, and always make room for one more at the table.

Her love, her influence, and the memories she created will continue to live on through her daughters, her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched.Forever loved.

Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
