Obituary

A Celebration of the Life of Ann Sears

Ann Regina Sears (O'Hara) of Altamonte Springs, FL passed in peace on May 25, 2018. She was born in Baltimore, MD, and graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. After graduation she served as a Baltimore police officer before meeting and marrying her beloved husband, John Sears. They settled in Spring Valley, where she raised 4 children.

Ann loved to garden, play bridge and take walks in her beloved Spring Valley neighborhood. She stayed involved in her St. Mary Magdalen Ladies Circle for many years.

Ann was predeceased by her husband John Sears. Ann is survived by 4 children Barbara Ptaszynski (Dean), Amy Hodges, Marianne Geddings (Allen) and Mark Sears. Ann was proud of her 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers Tom and Larry and sister Cathy.

Ann will be fondly remembered by family and friends as: loving parent, avid walker, eternal peace maker, proud Irish-woman, and the most practical, sensible woman you could have the pleasure of knowing. Her motto: Pray for peace in our hearts, peace in our homes, and throughout the world.

Viewing with be at DeGuisepe Funeral Home, Maitland, FL, Tuesday May 29 5:30-8:00 pm.

Funeral at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Maitland, FL, Wednesday, May 30 at 10:30 am.
