Anita Marcie Kilbourne

Born in September 1926,Marcie ,a devout Catholic and devoted wife and mother was one of " the greatest generation". After graduating college with a degree in Sociology, she married her lifetime love, Bill who had also just graduated on the G.I. bill. She was a school teacher , a sales person and later ,president of the company she and her husband operated. In later years after her husband passed, she began anew in a little community known as "The Forest" in Lake Mary ,FL. There she made many new friends and continued her active lifestyle by participating in many of the clubs and activities offered by the community. She also had a volunteer role in the "Seniors Intervention Group" in Seminole county. Her greatest focus throughout life though was her children. She was always ready to advise, comfort, consult and cajole.

She succumbed to cancer on October 29th after a courageous and lengthy battle. She is survived by her four children; Joyce Buckmeir of Baltimore Md. Pamela Welch of Essex Junction Vt. Patricia Chandler of Marydel, Md. and Mills Kilbourne of Lake Mary, Fl. She is also survived by her seven beautiful grandchildren; Mathew, Shannon, Jackie, Will, Gracie, Connor and Danika. Funeral mass to be held at Nativity Catholic Church of Longwood on Monday November 10th at 11:00 a.m . Donations to the American Cancer Society in Lieu of flowers.
