Angel L. Hidalgo, Sr., 67, passed away November 19, 2015, in Orlando. Angel was born in Moca, Puerto Rico, to Telesforo Hidalgo and Rita Badillo. Following his high school graduation, he relocated to the Chicago, IL area. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and attended technical school at Lowry Air Force Base and graduated with honors. Following his military service he returned to Puerto Rico, where he owned a bakery. Angel moved to Orlando in 1991 with his family. He was active in his church, Iglesia De Dios Pentacostal MI, and loved to watch the Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons Angel T. Hidalgo and Angel L. Hidalgo, Jr. (Lisa); daughter, Rita E. Medina (Edwin); grandchildren Asia, Isaac, Luc, Loula, Aiyana, Leilani and Lexie; and sister, Iraida Hidalgo. He was preceded in death by daughters Ruth and Migdalia, and brother, Julio.
There will be a memorial service at 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at Iglesia De Dios Pentacostal MI South Golden located at 3325 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822.
